Steps to recover or reset the user password

Information on resetting the default login ID and password, and resolving issues with missing companies, modules, or icons.

If you are unable to log in due to a forgotten or invalid login ID and password, you can reset them by replacing the user access files from the sample company folder.
Please perform a data backup before proceeding with the steps below to prevent any data loss.

To Reset Login ID and Password – UBS Accounting

  1. Check the accounting directory.

  2. Go to This PC, Local Disc (C:).

  3. Local disc (c:), UBSACC2015, Sample.

  4. Copy all the files:

    1. USER

    2. user.dbf

    3. USERPIN

    4. userpin.dbf

  5. At this PC, Local disk c:\UBSACC2015\

  6. Paste all four files into the affected company.

To Reset Login ID and Password – UBS Payroll

  1. Check the payroll directory.

  2. Go to This PC, Local disk (C:).

  3. Local disc (C:), UBSPAY90, Sample.

  4. Copy all the files:

    1. USER

    2. user.dbf

    3. USERPIN

    4. userpin.dbf

  5. At this PC, local disk C:\UBSPAY90\

  6. Paste all four files into the affected company.
