This error occurs because a component is either unrecognized or not properly registered on your client's machine.

You need to register these components. The method depends on whether you are using the 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. Then you need to update the driver.
If you are using a 32-bit machine:
Go to the Start and run the command prompt as an administrator.
Type the command regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mscomct2.ocx.
Press Enter.
Type in regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mscomctl.ocx.
Run regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mscomm32.ocx.
If you are using a 64-bit machine:
Go to the Start and run the command prompt as an administrator.
Type in the command " regsvr32 c:\windows\sysWOW64\mscomct2.ocx.
Press Enter.
Type in regsvr32 c:\windows\sysWOW64\mscomctl.ocx.
Run regsvr32 c:\windows\sysWOW64\mscomm32.ocx.
The mscomct2.ocx, mscomctl.ocx & mscomm32.ocx may not be in the location. Please search files and folders and copy them into the WOW64 folder. Or just run the Windows 10 update. These files should already be installed by Windows 10 and registered.
To update the driver:
Uninstall cash drawer/SCANNER/Display driver- unplug USB cable - plugin USB cable - reinstall driver.
Using the CMD register MSCOM32. (Run " regsvr32 c:\windows\ WOW64\mscomm32.ocx ").
Able to open cash drawer/scanner, able to use/display able to display.
