Accounting Setup & Maintenance: Steps to fix housekeeping errors

Information on resolving the “Housekeeping in progress” message and issues preventing backup operations.

Before proceeding, ensure no users are logged into the system.
If the “Housekeeping in Progress” message keeps appearing in a server-client environment, it may be due to exceeding the user count. Remove inactive users or purchase additional user licenses to resolve the issue. This error may also occur if different UBS versions are used between the server and clients. To resolve the error:

  1. Click OK once the error message is prompted.

  2. Log in to the Access UBS landing page.

  3. Select the affected company.

  4. Click and run the Refresh icon based on the affected modules.

  5. Click Yes.

  6. The housekeeping process is completed.

  7. Click OK.
