Before setting up Express Leave, make sure you have administrator access to Access Evo and have completed the required leave configuration in UBS Payroll.
Step 1: Log in to Express Leave
Administrator login
Launch Access Evo and select Forgot Your Password to set up your Access Evo password.
Once logged in, select the Access logo on the left-hand side.
Go to Products, Express Leave.
Note: Setting up your Access Evo password does not affect your UBS passwords.
Employee login
Employees can log in after the administrator has completed the employee import process in Step 4.
Employees will receive an email with the subject Welcome to Express Leave.
Select the link in the email to create a password.
After setting up the password, log in to Express Leave using the Express Leave login page.
Step 2: Configure leave in UBS Payroll
Before importing employees into Express Leave, complete the following tasks in UBS Payroll:
Configure Leave Settings.
Manage Leave Types.
Manage Leave Schemes.
Set Up Employee Leave Settings.

Note: To adjust employee leave balances, refer to Adjust employee leave balance.
Step 3: Create leave types in Express Leave
Create the required leave types before importing employee data.
Log in to Express Leave as an administrator.
Go to Company Admin, Leave Type.
Select Create Leave Type.
Enter the Description and Leave Code to match the leave type configured in UBS Payroll.
Select the relevant Associated Leave Balance.
Under Visible To, select the lowest required level that allows employees to view the applicable leave types.
Step 4: Import employee data into Express Leave
Import employee information from UBS Payroll into Express Leave.
Export the employee data from UBS Payroll and import it into Express Leave.

Once the import is complete, review the user type for all employees in Express Leave.
Set the appropriate approver and change the user type where required.
Note: You may leave the existing user type unchanged where appropriate. Express Leave automatically identifies approvers and non-approvers based on the employee type configured in UBS Payroll.
Step 5: Submit a leave request
Once setup is complete, employees can submit leave requests.

Step 6: Export leave data from Express Leave and import it into UBS Payroll
After leave has been processed in Express Leave, export the leave data and import it into UBS Payroll.

Step 7: Post approved leave to Payroll
Once the approved leave data has been imported into UBS Payroll, post the approved leave to Payroll.
