Payroll Errors: 'File Access is Denied'

This issue occurs when another user is already logged in to Housekeeping for the same database. Ensure only one user is logged in during the process. It may also happen if the file directory path is too long (over 170–250 characters). You may follow the options below:

Option 1:

  1. Create a new company using a shorter name.

  2. Copy all the database files from the C drive to the affected folder company and save them under a new folder that has shorter path lengths.

Option 2:

  1. Uninstall the UBS system and reinstall, or

  2. Ensure to run the Windows update.

  3. Do a fresh installation.

If all the above steps cannot resolve the issue, it means that your PC has a restriction issue that comes from the firewall or antivirus software. Please be informed that if that is the case, it is actually out of our support as it is IT IT-related issue.
