This guide provides steps to resolve issues related to the mobile license in UBS, such as repeated error prompts after uninstalling or reinstalling a mobile license.

Step 1: Uninstall the Current Mobile License

  1. At the Login Menu, select Mobile License.

  2. Choose UNINSTALL to remove the existing (expired) mobile license.

Step 2: Reinstall the New Mobile License

  1. After uninstalling, go back to the Mobile License function at the Login Menu.

  2. Select INSTALL and choose the new mobile license key file.

  3. Once activated, the system will prompt to restart — allow it to restart and then log in again.

Step 3: If the Error Still Appears After Uninstalling

  1. Check your computer’s Mobile License folder to ensure the mobile license key file still exists.

    • If this file has been deleted, you won’t be able to uninstall the license.

    • When uninstalling, you may see two licenses listed — one with the old expiry and another with the new expiry (if you attempted a reinstall).

  2. Go to C:\ProgramData\Sage

  3. Look for a file with a name similar to: (1e75bdEAj.......pml) Type: PMLKEY file

  4. Cut and paste this file into a new folder (to temporarily move it out).

  5. Log in to UBS and install the new mobile license key again.

Note: This is only a temporary workaround. Once the customer returns to the office, please ensure that all expired mobile license keys are properly reviewed and checked in.
