Accounting Setup & Maintenance: Using the command prompt to identify the Server IP address

Information on resolving client PC license and connection issues, including identifying the server IP address, fixing “No Such Host is Known” errors, and restoring license connections after internet upgrades.

To get the server IP Address:

  1. Go to the main PC (server), search tab, type ‘cmd’, and click the command prompt.

  2. Type the command: ipconfig*space* and click enter.

  3. Under wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi: IPv4 Address, is your server address (Eg: 192.168.1.5).

  4. Now, you can go to the other PC that connects to the server.

  5. Log in to the UBS system.

  6. Go to Admin, Administrator Settings, System Settings, and select Accounting.

  7. Copy the IP address from the server and paste it into the Server IP Address box. (Eg: Replace 127.0.0.1 with 192.168.1.5)

  8. Click Save.

  9. Then, do the same with Inventory & billing settings.

  10. Repeat step 3 and 4.
