Accounting Setup & Maintenance: Unable to connect client PC with Server due to IP address is the same number

Issue with client PC and Server PC having an Identical IP address

You can check the IP address of a computer in:

  1. Windows Control Panel, Network and Sharing Center, and select View your active networks

  2. In Connections, click on Ethernet, WIFI, or LAN, details.

  3. Look at the IPv4 Address.

  4. Please try switching from Ethernet to WIFI or LAN, and the IP address will also change. We suggest you use Ethernet or LAN connections, as these are preferred network connection methods as opposed to WIFI.

  5. You can request for new IP address via a command: ipconfig /release - Search (bing.com)

  6. Your server PC needs to set the UBSACC2015 & UBSSTK2015 folders to other drives (other than the C:\ drive, for example:

    • Drive Y:\ for UBSACC2015

    • Drive Z:\ for UBSSTK2015
