There are different reasons for this error, described below:
Antivirus software or firewall issue
The most common is that your antivirus software or firewall is blocking the connection.
You should get your IT administrator to whitelist these URLs:
Service registry issue
If whitelisting did not fix the problem and you are using the latest version of Access UBS and Windows 10 or Windows 11 or later, it may be a service registry issue. (Note that Access UBS is no longer supported on earlier versions of Windows.)
To fix it, you need to alter a folder in your installation:.
Uninstall Access UBS
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\
Rename the folder Sage Software to Sage Software (OLD)
Log in and activate your license.
Still getting the error?
If you tried the above solutions and you still cannot activate your license, the Support team will do an offline license activation and send you a file (patch) to apply to your installation
Please raise a new case online, reference the title of this article, and include:
Your MyAPPID.
The NEST file from your current installation. To find out how to get your NEST file, see Access UBS: I need to do Offline License Activation
