Accounting Setup & Maintenance: Access UBS License Service failed to start

Troubleshooting License Service issues after installing the new version, including connection failures, service not starting, and errors such as ‘Access UBS License Service failed to start’ or ‘Error 1053: The service did not respond in time.

To resolve the license service startup error, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall the UBS software.

  2. Go to C: drive on your computer and click Program Files(x86)\CommonFiles.

  3. Remove or rename the Sage Software folder.

  4. Stop all Access services in Services.

  5. Install the latest version of UBS.

Note: If turning off the Antivirus and running the steps above still fails, uninstall the Antivirus program.
