Accounting Errors: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or a connection failed because the connected host has failed to respond

On the client pc unable to detect license even after having try to map with server.

This error occurs because your IP address has been changed. To fix this, you may need your IT person or system administrator.

Before you begin, make sure:

  • The IP address of the user's PC should be the same as the Server PC.

  • Check the Firewall and Antivirus of the Server PC; it should be off.


To turn off the firewall

  1. Go to the Control Panel on your PC.

  2. Select System Security.

  3. Select Windows Firewall.

  4. Click Turn Windows Firewall on or off on the left panel.

  5. Under the section Private network Settings, click the check box Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended).

  6. Under the section Public Network Location Settings, click the check box Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended).

  7. Click OK.

To turn off password protection

  1. Go to the Control Panel on your PC.

  2. Select Network & Internet.

  3. Select Network and Sharing Centre.

  4. Click Change advanced sharing settings on the left panel.

  5. Under the section Password protected sharing click the check box Turn off password protected sharing

  6. Click Save Changes.


At the server computer:
Please check the UBS services in the service registry. Please start all the services. The service might have stopped and did not start automatically because an update was not completed or was halted mid-process.
