You can only restore backup files with the file type (extension) .PAY for Payroll. If you changed the file type, before you restore, you will need to rename the file to the appropriate file type.
To restore the database:
Log in to UBS Payroll.
Click the triangle-shaped button at the top-right corner of the payroll screen.
Select Backup & Restore.
Choose to restore.
Click on Browse to choose the drive and then the backup file.
Click Restore.
Enter Password, UBS, or your login password.
Restore complete.
