Data restoration issue — user needs to recover all data as the current database is missing. The system cannot read the backup file or recognize its format. Error: '.FPT file is missing or invalid. This file cannot be repaired'.

You can only restore backup files with the file type (extension). ACC for Accounting, STK for Inventory, and. PAY for Payroll. If you changed the file type, before you restore, you will need to rename the file to the appropriate file type.

To restore the current year company database:

  1. Go to File, Backup & Restore, Restore.

  2. Select Drive and then the backup file.

  3. Click Restore.

  4. Enter Password, UBS, or your login password.

  5. Restore complete.
