Formula for lateness

Please note that the calculation of lateness/early departure will depend on the Deduction method for NPL under Housekeeping, Setup, Parameter Setup, Pay Calculation tab.


​Example:
Basic rate = RM 1,500
Working days = 23 days
Hours per day = 8 hours
Fixed days per month = 26 days
No of days in a month (April) = 30 days
Lateness hours = 1 hours

Method 1: Rate/Working days

Lateness Fee = [Basic Rate/(WD/Hours per day)]
Basic Fee = Basic Rate - Lateness Fee
Basic Fee = Basic Rate - [Basic Rate/(WD/Hours per day)]
Basic Fee = RM 1,500 - [RM 1,500/(23days/8hours)]
Basic Fee = RM 1,500 - RM 8.15
Basic Fee = RM 1,491.85

Method 2: Rate/Fixed days per month

Lateness Fee = [Basic Rate/(Fixed days per month/Hours per day)]
Basic Fee = Basic Rate - Lateness Fee
Basic Fee = Basic Rate - [Basic Rate/(Fixed days per month/Hours per day)]
Basic Fee = RM 1,500 - [RM 1,500/(26days/8hours)]
Basic Fee = RM 1,500 - RM 7.21
Basic Fee = RM 1,492.79

Method 3: Rate/No. of days in the month

Lateness Fee = [Basic Rate/(No.of days in the month/Hours per day)]
Basic Fee = Basic Rate - Lateness Fee
Basic Fee = Basic Rate - [Basic Rate/(No. of days in the month/Hours per day)]
Basic Fee = RM 1,500 - [RM 1,500/(30days/8hours)]
Basic Fee = RM 1,500 - RM 6.25
Basic Fee = RM 1,493.75
