Payroll EOY: Month End processing

There is no 12-month record for December.

Updated over a month ago

After completing the current month’s payroll, the system does not initialize to the new month automatically.
To move on to the next month, you need to run the Month End function at Housekeeping, 4. Month End.

EXAMPLE:
If you have completed Process Pay for January, the system will move forward to February when you use the month-end function.

  1. You can choose to move forward with transactions and copy all the current month's pay transactions to next month

    • In the Housekeeping, check the button 1. Move Forward Transactions

  2. You can also remove transactions so the end-user will be able to start a new payroll process with new or different salary grades, like basic salary, allowances, deductions, and additional income for the new month

    • In the Housekeeping, check button 2. Remove Transactions

  3. You may also update the working days for next month for all the employees

    • In the Housekeeping, check the box Update Working Days

  4. The system will read This Year and This Month in:

    • Housekeeping Setup, Parameter setup, Company Details tab.

    • Under the Month section

    • When This Month is 1, the system is in January, and 2, the system is in February, and so forth

  5. However, the system will only update January data into the 12-month table after the month-end, and this month reads 2

  6. Thus, on the final Month 12, you need to run Month End = 13 to update the 12-month table for December data

  7. Then you can run year-end processing

For example, the 12-month table as of Month 12 looks like this:
The function is found in:

  1. Monthly and yearly, 12-month figures Update

  2. Monthly and Yearly, Any of the Reports

  3. To include December, the month-end on month 12 must be completed so that it has 12 months on the table

  4. So, this month = 13
