This error is due to the index files, which have been corrupted and need to be repaired.

If you are using Access UBS Payroll, please raise a new case online and reference the title of this article. If you are using Access UBS Accounting, follow the steps below:

  1. When the error message ‘XXXXXXX.dbf has been corrupted’ appears, please click OK.

  2. It will prompt a table (Recover table).

  3. Click the ‘Select record file’ button and select the directory of the company folder (e.g., C: Drive - C:/UBSACC2015/SAMPLE) –*you may check the directory of the company under the Directory column or by clicking a button (Gear-settings) under the company name.

  4. Kindly select the error XXXXXXX.dbf is corrupted.

  5. Select the file according to the error message you have received on your side.

  6. Upon selecting the company directory and the corrupted file, click Error Scan/Repair.

  7. Even after repair, if the message shows “Definition File Not Found.”

  8. Create a new company.

  9. Restore the latest backup (the most recent one) into the company.
