UBS EVO: Manage packages

Learn how to create and manage reusable benefit packages, including individual category budgets and shared budget pools.

Manage Packages allows you to create and manage reusable packages for employee benefits. Any changes made to a package will automatically apply to all employees assigned to that package.

Watch the video walkthrough:

Create a new package

  1. Go to Manage Packages.

  2. Click Create Package.

  3. Enter the Package Name.

  4. Enter the Description.

  5. Add the claim categories that should be included in the package.

  6. Configure the budget and claim limits for each category.

  7. Configure the effective dates and benefit duration.

  8. Click Create Package to save the package.

Configure individual categories

You can set up categories as individual categories, where each category has its own budget and per-claim limit.

  1. Select the required claim category.

  2. Enter the Budget for the category.

  3. Enter the Per Claim limit.

  4. Set the Effective From date.

  5. Set the Effective To date, if applicable.

  6. Set the benefit Refresh Period/Duration.

  7. Repeat the setup for other categories included in the package.

🤓Tip: For example, Dental and Medical can each have their own separate budget and per-claim limit.

Create a shared budget pool

Alternatively, multiple claim categories can be grouped into a shared budget pool. A shared pool allows employees to use a common budget across the selected categories.

  1. Click Create Pool.

  2. Select the claim categories to be included in the pool.

  3. Select at least two categories for the shared pool.

  4. Click Create Pool.

  5. Configure the budget settings for the shared pool.

  6. Continue with the package setup.

🤓Tip: For example, Optical and Medical can be grouped into one shared budget, allowing employees to use the available budget across either category.

Save the package

Once all categories and budget settings have been configured:

  1. Review the package details.

  2. Check the category budgets and per-claim limits.

  3. Confirm the effective dates and duration.

  4. Click Create Package.

  5. The package will be saved and can then be assigned to employees.

📌Note: Once the package has been created, go to Employee Packages to assign the package to the relevant employees.
