If you’re experiencing this issue in Microsoft Outlook, try the steps below to resolve it. These actions focus on fixing common causes related to recent updates, profile settings, or application configuration.
Step 1: Turn off Compatibility Mode
Right-click the Outlook shortcut or Outlook.exe file.
Select Properties, Compatibility tab.
Uncheck Run this program in compatibility mode.
Click Apply, OK, then restart Outlook.
Step 2: Repair Microsoft Office
Press Windows + R, type appwiz.cp
l, and press Enter.Locate Microsoft Office in the list.
Click Change, select Quick Repair (or Online Repair if needed).
Follow the prompts to complete the repair.
Step 3: Create a new Outlook profile
Close Outlook completely.
Open Control Panel, Mail, Show Profiles.
Click Add and set up a new profile.
