To use Access UBS Evo, you need to connect your EVO desktop data to Access Evo.
Pre-requisites before setting up Access UBS Evo:
You might need your system administrator or IT professional to assist.
Operating system must be Windows 10 (version 20H2 or later) or Windows 11.
Data Loader must be installed on the main server.
UBS must be updated to the latest version.
Ensure to have a Security Token to complete this step. Request your Security Token here.
Task 1: Install and connect the Data Loader for UBS
To install and connect the Data Loader for UBS:
On the server where your UBS database is installed, open Windows Explorer and go to your Installer.
Click on Access UBS EVO Data Loader v 1.1.1.
Once downloaded, Right-click on the Data Loader zip file, then select Properties.
From the General tab, tick Unblock, then click Apply, OK.
Right-click the Data Loader zip file. then select Extract All, then click Extract. The zip file will be extracted to a new folder.
Now, double–click on the UBS Data Loader.
A blue command window is displayed, and you need to click on Install.
Click Yes on the Standard terms and conditions, Next.
For the setup type, choose complete and click next, Install.
On the InstallShield Wizard Complete page, ensure to tick on I would like to launch UBS Dataloader Configuration and click on finish.
UBS Evo Data Loader is now installed.
A pop-up Data Loader screen is displayed to configure UBS.
You will need the Security Token to complete this step. Request your Security Token here.
Copy and paste the Data Loader Security Token, provided via email from the Access Group, into the Security Token field
For the path, ensure to map with the existing company folder by clicking the 3-dot button.
Choose the Account No. format according to your company.
Lastly, click configure.
This will configure your UBS data.
Task 2: Connect your UBS Data
Log in to your Access evo.
Click the Access button then Products, and then Data Engine.
The Data Engine tab is displayed. Click the three-line menu on the top-left of the screen then select data Loader.
Ensure the status for Access UBS Data Loader is connected.
Click on three-line menu on the top-left again then select Connections, shared.
On the right of row, click the arrow and select Properties
Click DSN on the left menu.
Enter the following Details:
Click the Test tab at the top, and then click Start Test.
When Connection is Valid displays, click Save.
Note: Please repeat the step 6 to step 10 If you have Access UBS Inventory & Billing and Payroll Module.
