Accounting Transactions: Entering opening balance

Information on resolving trial balance discrepancies caused by opening balances, including unlocking, editing, or setting opening balances to zero.

This guide explains how to unlock the opening balance and reset the opening balance to 0 in the system. Follow the steps below to perform these actions safely.

To Unlock Opening Balance:

  1. Go to Housekeeping, Administrative Tools, Tools.

  2. Tick Unlock Opening Balance.

To set the Opening Balance amount as '0'

  1. Go to Housekeeping, Administrative Tools, Tools.

  2. Tick 'Set opening Balance to 0'.
